Silver Dollar City Theme Park - One of the best Attraction
The Silver Dollar City a Theme Park started on the 1960's originated through many a rough and multiple ownership of the gist once just a cave found by an American miner who explored the space along with six miners. Initially their search for lead inside the cave was not likely successful but was convinced that the upper wall of amongst the roof top was made of marble and named the cave as Marble cave.
The cave ownership changed many hands prior to when the current property owners William Lynch. After the death of William Lynch's the ownership was handed down to his daughters. They continued to maintain the cave for the Marvel Cave until Hugo Herschend a sales man bought a 99 year lease for the land and began operating the area. After Hugo's death his wife with their two sons, had taken up the task and made several changes and up-graded the space with many new features. One such feature was the running of a railway that commuted in and away from cave.
As Silver Dollar City's biggest production show ever, Headin' West offers a number of colorful characters, harrowing adventures, an exceptional musical score, special results, wonderful scenery as well as a cast of talented entertainers.
Another popular event at Silver Dollar City during the month of September may be the park's Salute to the Great American Cowgirl. This entertaining show features the Cowgirl Chicks precision horse team along with other nationally renowned cowgirl entertainers, artists and more.
